Hope in Flight Mural Celebration

SouthSide Arts District invites you to join us and your fellow community members as we celebrate the latest public mural installation in Bethlehem, Hope in Flight.

Location: The Greenway Stairs
Reception Parking: South Bethlehem Greenway Parking Lot, Steel Avenue, and E. 3rd Street.
Join us from 4:30-6:00 PM on Thursday, September 14 for the ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration of Bethlehem’s first stair mural, Hope in Flight. Hear the artists talk about their process and how the art was created, take some selfies with the mural, and then join us at the Bethlehem SkatePlaza for food, music, and mingling.

Directions & Parking
Parking is available in the South Bethlehem Greenway Parking Lot, located at 1205 Steel Ave, Bethlehem next to the Bethlehem SkatePlaza. Street parking is available along Steel Avenue and E. 3rd Street.
Getting to the Stair Mural: When you arrive at the South Bethlehem Greenway Parking Lot, walk past the traffic bollards onto the Greenway trail heading West towards the SteelStacks. The Greenway Stairs are a 3 minute walk, and are located on the Greenway Trail.
This public art project is part of the Bethlehem Economic Development Corporation’s SouthSide Art District Program, a continuous revitalization initiative for the SouthSide of Bethlehem. This project was made possible, in part, by funds from the County of Northampton PA, and SouthSide Tomorrow. SouthSide Tomorrow is a 6-year revitalization program of Community Action Development Bethlehem and the City of Bethlehem with support from Univest Bank & Trust Co., Embassy Bank for the Lehigh Valley, People’s Security Bank & Trust, PPL Electric Utilities, and Provident Bank.
