Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 – we’re almost half way there and I still have 11 restaurants to go. I can do this. No – I want to do this. I need to do this.

Breakfast – Since it’s been a bit of a calorie fest the last two days, I’m gonna start out today’s food adventure at Edible Arrangements. Beyond the chocolate covered bouquets, Edible has delicious  and 100% healthy options including Smoothies, Fruit Shakes, and Fruit Parfaits. Their Restaurant Week Special is any item for $4!! Since it’s freezing outside, I’m gonna throw on some Buffet in the office and pretend I’m on a beach with a Pineapple + HoneyDew + Kale smoothie to go. Hold the Tequila.

Lunch – With beach music on all morning my tummy is hankering for some deep Mexico deliciousness. Look no further than El Jefe’s Taqueria. Still trying to eat a little lighter today I forgo their appetizer of Chips and Queso and go straight for the Mexican Bowl but stick to just veggie options. However their shrimp, chicken and beef options are fantastic – but I want my pants to still fit me by Friday so I need to make adjustments. For Dessert they offer an authentic Flan – I’ll bring this home for later!

Dinner – Ok forget this. Restaurant Week is about two things. Delicious food and eating it all. So bring on the Spanx – I’m going to Emeril’s Chop House. Their three course decadent menu includes a Crab and Asparagus Bisque for course 1….yes please. Course 2 is a toss-up between Beef Tournadoes, Grilled Premium Reserve Pork Chop, Pan Roasted Salmon or a 7 ounce Creekstone Filet. It’s not a tough decision, this is Emeril’s Chop House – I’m going with the Filet. And the Third Course – a choice between Warm Pecan Bread Pudding or Emeril’s Coconut Cream Pie. I’m a complete sucker for Coconut – for me it’s an easy choice – especially with the Chocolate ganache and fresh whipped cream.

BAM!
