Southside Proud Marketing & Media Internships – Fall 2018 Position Descriptions
Duration (flexible): Minimum of 6 weeks, minimum of 4 hours/week
Compensation: Unpaid or class credit hours
Supervised by: Southside Vision Transforming Community Image Committee

Tasks (Marketing Track)
-Meet with community members and business owners and attend community events -Create content for and manage Southside Proud Instagram account (1-3 posts/week)

-Manage Southside Proud Facebook account (same content as Instagram)

-Photograph and edit community asset library on Flickr
-Use Hootsuite and other social media tools to produce analytics on Southside Proud social media presence
-Produce written content for the Southsider magazine (www.thesouthsider.org), under the supervision of editing staff
Tasks (Media Track)
-Meet with community members and business owners and attend community events
-Edit 30-90 second videos highlighting Northampton Community College and Broughal Middle School programming (raw footage already available)
-Produce video of community members and/or events for social media and larger video projects -Photograph and edit community asset library on Flickr
-Produce written content for the Southsider magazine (www.thesouthsider.org), under the supervision of editing staff
Requirements
Photography and/or videography experience or training
Knowledge of video editing software
Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in social media campaigns
Excellent writer and communicator
Driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred
Familiarity with south Bethlehem community preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Must be 18 years or older
Recommended for students majoring in journalism, communications, marketing, media studies, English, film, etc.
Interested candidates should provide a portfolio of relevant work, including photography, videography, writing samples, etc.
