The SouthSide Guide to Saint Patrick’s Day

Saint Patrick’s day weekend in the Lehigh Valley is full of any and everything your little leprechaun heart could desire. Kilt contests, parades, Irish Highland Dancers, Green Beers and music – here’s your guide to all the shenanigan’s happening in South Bethlehem.

Kid Friendly

For the kiddos – I suggest taking a ride to Color Me Mine on 3rd street. Both Saturday and Sunday, they have a ton of fun activities planned for your wee ones.

Saturday, March 16th from 9:30am – 11am, they’ll be hosting the PAINT ME A STORY PARTY, and from 6pm – 9pm a KIDS SHAM-ROCKS Party – where if you’re little one is 6 and up, you can drop them off and go enjoy some old leprechaun fun before pick up at 9pm!

Sunday, March 17th the party continues at Color Me Mine with a Saint Patrick’s day Family fun Day from 12pm – 4pm, including a concert with Lolly & Yoyo and Freckles the Leprechaun!

Adult Shenanigans- Saturday, March 16th

Start your morning at 7am at Molly’s for a bit of Kegs & Green Eggs. Put some hair on your chest this St. Patty’s and order a Jamison while you’re at it! Then take yourself on your own guided bar crawl, making stops at the Tally Ho, SouthSide 313, Revel Social, or The Funhouse before heading over the bridge for the Parade of Shamrocks down Broad & Main Streets.

Then head south again to catch the Celtic Tenors at the Musikfest Café or O’Grady Quinlan Academy of Irish Dance at the Sands Outlets at 6:30pm. Make your way down 3rd street for our favorite Trouble Makers the Trouble City All Stars at SouthSide 313 at 9pm. Grab a beer at Bonn before you saunter onto Fourth to the Funhouse to catch party people lovers The Groove Merchants and Hambone Relay from 10pm – 2am.

Sunday, March 17th

In need of some hair of the dog? Guess who’s open again at 7am? Your best buddies at Molly’s Irish Grille on 4th & New. Do a little Irish jig and wake up with a car bomb or two before heading to the Tally Ho, Revel Social, or the SouthSide 313 where their specials of the day include $6 Irish Mules, $5 Guinness drafts, and $5 Picklebacks! Do go home yet wee lassie! The Sand’s Molten Lounge is calling – with a St. Patty’s day Party with Fisher & Maher Irish Band from 8:30pm – 12midnight. End your evening at Coil Lounge for a $5 Jameson Caskmate or $5 Craft / IPA Draft.

And don’t forget to take Monday off. You’ll need it!
